Helping churches and schools bring RE to life in Reading

Julia Jones

REinspired’s home hub now supports 12 ecumenical churches in delivering parts of the Christian RE syllabus to their local primary schools. These relationships often flourish into much more than just RE sessions. Three secondary schools are also supported by a team of volunteers delivering sessions as diverse as Spirituality & Art to Evil & Suffering.

Volunteers representing 18 churches of different denominations engaged with over 11,500 individual children and young people last year, fulfilling our aim to bring RE to life for every child, in every school, every year.

The home hub is also the venue for training, resourcing and supporting, not only for the Earley and East Reading teams, but also new school/church relationships. Fledglings build their confidence and skills until they are ready to stand alone as REinspired partners.

If you would like to find out more about starting your own REinspired project, supporting our work financially or by volunteering contact Julia.
