YEAR 6
As requested by the school, we are looking at Staying Safe. This lesson begins by looking at armour/protective clothing, protects the outside, but moves quickly to look at what protects our inside? Using Bear Grylls video clip and some items of protective clothing it draws on the teaching of Paul about putting on the protection, the armour of God.

Children rotate round three workshops, to consider:

1. Standing firm, being true to who you are and making right choices. What shapes and influences you? How can you stand firm. It recognises pressures on young people e.g. drugs, self-esteem, bullying,

2. What protection do we have? Christian believe they have God as a protector and friend. They also have family and friends – what protects us? What keeps us safe?

3. What do you have faith in? Where can you bring peace? Christians trust in God.
